Blood bowl ii orc team4/15/2024 ![]() I have finally managed to finish something after all these months, and I am quite happy with how they turned out. This box contains 2 blitzers, 2 throwers, 2 Black Orc blockers, 6 linemen, extra balls, team counters, a decal sheet covered in Orc symbols and twelve 32mm. I am also going to post updates on him on Instagram, plus I am planning some live videos on him so have a look for them too! He is currently in my workbench getting some paint and he will get his photos once he is finished, so keep your eyes on this spot for more. Orcs & Goblins Blood Bowl Team Notable Black Orc Teams. One big (in the quite literal manner) absence from this group photoshoot is my troll. I built him using bits from the old Goblin kit and adding a wire frame to create the blood bowl helmet. There's also inspiration from the oldest Orc backgrounds from the rules. Good ones also revolve around Orc-esque themes - War, violence, clans, tribes, teeth, raiders, pirates, boars, all good themes. Last, but definitely not least, the Goblin of the team. But there are some good background inspirations too - my current Orc team steals the name of a mercenary group from Warhammer 40,000 - Da Flash Gitz. Of course the backbone of the orc team, the Linemen, couldn’t be absent, so here they are in all their black and yellow glory! Staying to the positionals, the Throwers are straight from the box, although one too many, I painted both to complete the team. Nothing fancy here as you may probably see. Same problem here, I had to build 2 and again my Ork bitz box came in handy. ![]() The model is built using all sorts of bits and pieces from the (mostly Warhammer 40K) Ork range, the body of a Nob, the hand of an Ogre, and shoulder pads from Space Marines and a Dreadnought (yes you heard that right :P )īlitzers are a must in any Orc team and I had to include 4 of them. I may eventually build another one whenever I decide to play them again. I have eventually managed to buy one back later on in the league, so I decided to build only one out the initial 2 extras that I had on my roster. Where is the second one you ask? Well, in the very first game that I have played one of them died, and then in my second one I lost another one. So, I have decided to build my own Black Orcs, one of them you can see in the pictures above. I had decided to play with 4 Black orcs and 4 Blitzers, and I had only 2 of each available in the box. I have decided to stick to the original colour scheme, mostly because I love painting yellow (those of you that follow me all these years might have figured it out ) ), but also because I think yellow suits Orcs wonderfully! The ModelsĪs I was building my team, I have stumbled upon a problem that I’m sure most orc players have, the absence of Black Orcs and Blitzers from the basic sprue. ![]() Only one finished so far.2.1) Blood Bowl Stuff Orcland Raiders Galleryīeing a quite slow painter, I have just managed to finish up my Blood Bowl Orc team, the famous Orcland Raiders. I added a Jaw plate and a bit more armour, with larger shoulder spikes to make them stand out. Pretty happy with the way they came out though some were a little fiddly.įor the Blitzers I wanted a more dynamic pose. I followed the new ogre poses on these and some American Football photos. They all still need filling, some moul line cleaning where I missed them and a bit of GS detailing. ![]() A fantasy football game for teams of 11 to 16, it was never going to move as many miniatures as wargames you have to buy entire armies for. The only disadvantage was the one piece torso/legs, which was simply sawed in half in each case to give me more positioning options. Games Workshop gave up on Blood Bowl for a long time. There are plenty of nice extras on the sprues and the shoulder pads are very blood bowl ish. With a pretty huge collection of Bitz kicking around, I decided to use the new 40k Nobz as the basis of my linemen / blitzers. So I decided it was high time to dust off my block dice and make a new team to play with. The Orcs were originally my second Blood Bowl team in the 90s, using the plastic models from the second edition box. I played a lot when 3rd edition had just been released but not much since, focusing mostly on WH Fantasy where I play Orcs. I have been away from BB for a long time.
